Now this is one of my favorites. They are so fragrant. They are an evergreen plant but an annual here in Colorado. If you decide to purchase one then it is a summer investment only. I think they are well worth it, although they can… be pricey.  I plant them every year because they are so wonderful. They love acidic soil and bloom from mid spring all the way into the summer. Last year I had a very hard time finding them. Nurseries were not paying for the high prices and delivery fees. Gas prices has limited to what our nurseries are willing to pay for and bring in. The big chain stores are likely to bring them in because of the bulk they bring in. That is a hit and miss too. I hope for all Gardenia lovers we see this plant in Colorado this year if not just to love them for a season!
